People. There’s no “I” in team, just as there’s no one author to any project at Crawford Strategy. We produce better results when we work together. We each have our special niche that allows us to bring something different to the table. They say two heads are better than one; imagine what we can do with twenty.
Meet our leadership team.
Marion Rose Crawford
Marion Rose Crawford is the President of Crawford Strategy and has had an extensive career in various aspects of media and marketing. Marion draws daily from her diverse professional experience to best serve her clients. Before founding Crawford Strategy, Marion worked as a CBS and ABC affiliated news writer and television reporter and was a regular contributing writer for numerous publications, including TALK Magazine and SC Homes & Gardens. Additionally, Marion spent five years with ScanSource, Inc. where she worked in marketing, sales and business development.
In addition to leading a successful marketing firm, Marion moonlights as a taxi-driver for her three children and struggles to hide her Supermom cape under her business suit every day. In her "free time," Marion is active in the Greenville community. She is currently serving on the board of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra and is an Advisory Board member of the Urban League of the Upstate and the Junior League of Greenville. She is a volunteer for the Greenville County Museum of Art's Antiques Show annual fundraiser.
Sandy Linning is the undisputed PR and event planning guru in the Upstate. She started her first public relations firm, Linning Public Relations, in 1988, and hasn't looked back since. With an innate sense of style and grace, Sandy has built a reputation on taking her clients from good to great. Sandy has never met a stranger and is well known and respected throughout the Upstate community.
Sandy is a member of the Junior League of Greenville and a graduate of Leadership Greenville. Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees of the Urban League of the Upstate, the YMCA Metro Board of Directors and the March of Dimes Real Estate Award Committee. Past board memberships include the Greenville Hospital System Foundation, the Greenville County Art Association, the Metropolitan Arts Council, the Civic Chorale, the Better Business Bureau, River Place Festival, The Junior League of Greenville, The Chamber of Commerce, the Greenville County Bi-Centennial, Greenville City Community Development and the University of South Carolina Bi-Centennial Campaign.
If you don't know Sandy Linning, it's time to change that.
Director of Marketing
As Director of Marketing, (and resident social butterfly) Amanda and her team provide Crawford Strategy's clients with creative, effective, and integrated marketing programs that incorporate public relations, media relations, advertising, branding, digital and social media. Aside from marketing, Amanda's passion and expertise lies in event planning. She has successfully planned and executed numerous corporate events, galas and fundraisers for discerning clients in North and South Carolina. With her dedication to the details, Amanda continuously brings a high level of creativity and precision to Crawford Strategy's client's events.
When not working on Crawford Strategy's client's marketing needs, Amanda can often be found serving her community as an active volunteer with The Junior League, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Upstate and Hands on Greenville. Amanda was born and raised in Canada, but has kicked off her snow shoes and now, happily, calls Greenville home.
Director of Creative Services
Laura Blume is the Creative Director at Crawford Strategy – with an emphasis on the creative. With more than 15 years of graphic design experience in both corporate and private environments, there is nothing a client can throw at Laura that she can't handle. Laura has been a writer, editor, and graphic designer for local and national publications including skirt! Greenville and Greer Now. Today, she flexes her creative muscles for Crawford Strategy’s clients, delivering innovative, eye catching and impressive branding materials, logos, advertisements and publications.
Having lived and worked in the Upstate most of her life, Blume is the go-to gal for all things culture, including the Greenville Symphony, the local art scene, and Main Street's numerous fine dining establishments. When she’s not downtown eating – or working hard behind her giant 30-inch Mac computer screen – she's probably in eastern NC playing with her darling niece.
